James starting in our class

There's an awesome new kid called James J who has started in Rimu Toru. We call him James J because there is another James in our class - James W!

Production Week!!!!!

 Guess what??? Production is THIS WEEK!!! 

Wow, it has come up quickly! We are looking FANTASTIC in our costumes (here is a sneak peek...) and have done an amazing job practising our dance and the whole school songs. We hope that you can come along to see us on Wednesday night, Thursday afternoon or Thursday night.

Short/Long E Sound!

This week we are looking at the vowel e and both the short and long sounds that it makes.

The short 'e' sound comes up in words like... 'wet', 'pet', 'forget', 'petrified', 'Ben' and 'exercise'.

The long 'e' sound comes up in words like... 'weeds', 'sweets', 'meet', 'bee', 'sea', 'beads', 'country' and 'sneaky'.
